Trail started at about 4400ft elevation. Temperature was about 30F at the time we started our hike at about 11:20 am. Most of these pictures were taken on the Skyline Divide Ridge.

Grey Jay, AKA Camp Robber

There were splendid views all around to be seen. I was greatful to be up on such a heavenly place with my best friend Shadow. He has been wonderful hiking companion for over 3 years that we lived here in Washington State.

Things to think about before hiking:
When Hiking I always carry a backpack with: Food, water, first aid kit, sun block, small fire starter, bivey shelter, space blanket, compass and map, knife, extra clothes and of course a camera.

Even on day hikes, I don't wear anything with cotten. I try and wear clothes made from fast dry materials. I try and layer my clothing according to the weather and my efforts.

I have the hiking guides by Harvey Manning and dan Nelson. They are very good hiking guides, but I recently discovered, through a good friend, these guide books by Craig Romano. Craig does a great job organizing details of each hike into specifics for what you maybe looking for in a hike. Please take time to review all of them, to see what works for you.
